My favourite feminist is Frida Kahlo because she was an unapologetic queer woman who challenged gender stereotypes and embraced her beauty and differences. She also painted the raw and honest experiences that many women face.
Advocacy to me means publicly supporting and encouraging others by giving them a voice and creating positive change. Advocacy is concerned with ending injustices around the world and challenging harmful narratives.
I am most excited to be able to make positive changes to others lives and help create a safer, equal society for women around the world.
Martha

Nadia Nadim - an Afghan-Danish footballer who has conquered so many challenges, she fled Afghanistan as a refugee twenty years ago, moving with her family to Denmark where she began her footballing journey. Alongside this she is training to become a surgeon and can speak 9 languages fluently! I think she is a great role model and sets an amazing example to young women and aspiring footballers.
Using our own confidence and connections to voice the opinions and situations of others who do not feel able to do so. It is noticing a silence in others, and seeking to ensure their views are considered and accepted, and all our identities celebrated within society.
I am looking forward to making connections and meeting and interacting with new people who have all had different experiences, as well as helping out the local and global community.
