Chula believes that young women can change the world.
Therefore, we connect our projects in Sheffield ....
Chula works to empower young women to take control of their own futures.
At Chula, we believe that we should learn from the world around us ...
to our Chula project in Tanzania, over 6,000 miles away!
By educating girls about gender inequality around the world, we show them what they can do to fight for the rights of women globally.

Founder and CEO of Chula
Sarah established Chula in 2019 after returning from working on projects in Kenya which advocated for women's rights and equality. Sarah is trained as a Primary School teacher and spent 5 years as a classroom teacher in London and Mexico City and has always volunteered on projects, in the UK and abroad, supporting the education of disadvantaged young people.
Sarah now lives in Sheffield and can often be found exploring the Peak District with her gorgeous dogs Oli and Rex. She is also studying for a Masters in International Relations.
I was inspired to set up Chula from conversations I had with women in my life. All of whom showed me that women have so much to share with each other.
I wanted Chula to create a space where these experiences could be shared and where women would be empowered to work together to tackle inequality, learning so much from one another along the way.
